Returning to the same spot.

.

I do return to the same themes, place, motifs etc. It used to bother me a bit, I was afraid of repeating myself, but I think I changed my mind.

.

.

Now I don’t really care if its the same scene. All of the images in this post are different in many respects anyway, they do naturally form a series of course, there is the comparison element involved which can be interesting (though I do not pretend to have any inclinations towards the Dusseldorf school, far from it, I’m no scientist with a camera, and am not interested in their approach to be honest).

.

.

The comparison here is telling me I was temporarily insane creating a black hole within the frame – obviously the shots with the shadow being a half transparent layer work a lot better than almost pure black. At least I’ve just learned my lesson.

.

.

All the images in this post are in chronological order, and I’m quite happy to see some progress, or at least the last one being on a different level. There is a couple of months between all the previous ones ant the last shot though, so no surprise there.

.

.

For a brief moment I considered putting them together as a mini series, but now I’m not sure they are strong enough for that. Probably not, and I will end up showing only the last one.

.

.

It is also possible that I have exhausted this spot and this light. Maybe that was what I was chasing for the last half a year every sunny morning in that particular spot. It took a lot of time, and a lot of completely failed attempts, but I think the last image here was worth it. Goodbye, morning light, it was fun.
