Just another 15 min, mum.
.
Time is all we have, when you think about it. I don’t have much of it, as I am sure many of you out there. I try to squeeze in as much of personal photography as I can into my day. walking the streets, I have to keep an eye on the watch, always, no matter what time of the day. I do often however try to cheat a bit. just another 15 min, and I’m done. ah, I’ll walk to the next tube station. and so on and so on.
Pushed myself a bit today, and I’m glad i did. I love this image. the street behind me was busy and noisy as hell, a road close to the very center of London, past rush hour but still full of cars and people. and here it is, a scene from another planet. they are both hardly moving as I shoot, the room is so empty it only underlines their performance. and then, there is this gigantic black thing, in the corner of the room, sitting there silently, watching them just like me, waiting. without it, the image would be all right I guess. with it, well, it makes me happy I said ‘just another 15 min’.
